My Top Earning eHow Articles

7 Dec, 2008  |  Written by  |  under ehow

In the spirit of figuring this whole eHow thing out…I decided to post my top earning eHow articles of all time, when they were posted, and which categories they are in.

Pat, at Smart Passive Income, is really good at charting his earnings and keeping extensive data.  Me, on the other hand…well, this is as extensive as I get so there is no doubt that I benefit from his research.

Here are my top earning eHow articles so far.

6. How to Increase your Wife’s Libido – posted 7/23/08 – Relationships and Family – has earned $9.11

5. How to Attract Scorpio Guys – posted 7/30/08 – Relationships and Family – has earned $9.74

4. How to Treat Jock Itch Naturally – posted 5/12/08 – Health – has earned $10.44

3. How to Trim Apple Trees – posted 5/21/08 – Home and Garden – has earned $13.57

2. How to Open a Spa - posted 5/21/08 – Business – has earned $19.25

1. How to Follow the Morning Banana Diet – posted 10/17/08 – Health – $19.37

The categories vary, but honestly, I find that I enjoy writing about health and relationships more than anything else.  So maybe it is all about following your passion.

How about you guys?  What are your best earners? How is your passive income coming along?

I have an ehow account but have never written anything for them using that account. Everything I write for them is through Demand where I get the $15 up front payments. Maybe after the first of the year I might try them out for passive income.

I really encourage you to start posting a few to eHow after the new year. It’s hard to motivate yourself to do it when there’s no guaranteed $15 involved, but the articles from my post will end up earning so much more than $15 over the next few years.

It only takes a few minutes and it’s fun because you get to write about anything you like.

Hi Jen. I live in the UK so I can join eHow and I’m welcome to write articles, but I won’t get paid for it, unfortunately.

    Ah well…

hmm…that sucks. I didn’t realize the Canadians could not sign up for the Writers Compensation Program. I’m pretty sure that you can sign up for Textbroker, though if you want to try writing for a little cash.

I’m afraid Textbroker is just for the US. When I clicked on the country option, that was the only country that displayed. Thanks for the suggestion, anyway. :-)

    take care…

eHow site is full of bugs and slow loading time at most! Totally a waste of time, and now they are doing article sweeps. Why would one post articles and then be removed by the site. eHow calls it “Site Cleanup”. Yeah, why don’t they clean themselves (their **s) first. Their editors’ articles are full of crap, why are those still up? eHow suck the best at their technical support and site engineers; seriously, site usability is only 25 ~ 30% and things don’t update normally. If you want to know what I’m talking about or thinking of joining this eHow, go to read the eHow forum and see what members are complaining about. The payout by eHow is not worth the time.

eHow has a good business model but the ececution is so lacking. Check out how I’m covering the eHow UK issues.

@Dianne – ehow deletes negative comments in the forums. What you see is the tame stuff.
