Validation
I’ve had a rough week. A really rough week. Problems at home were compounded by my home being broken into and my wallet being stolen, along with my drivers license, social security card and several other cards. It was like being punched in the stomach when I woke up and realized what had happened. The scary thing was that this was done in my home while I was sleeping!
I’ve been writing my little heart out and trying to forget what happened, while my finace is installing extra security measures around the house. We rent and don’t live in the best neighborhood, so we’re doing all we can without spending a lot of money.
They say that there’s always a silver lining to these things and apparently “they” are right. We have been planning to build a monolithic dome home out in the woods sometime in the next couple of years. The property is already there and belongs to the family. The events of this week have prompted us to go ahead and get started! So, this weekend, we are going over to pick out a spot for the house and rope it off. I cannot express how excited I am about this!
My day is already better today because someone at The Niche Blogger forum posted a video this mornin that I spent a litle while watching. It’s a short film called Validation and I think I’ll probably never forget it. So, if you have a few spare minutes today and you want to smile, watch the video. It’s my gift to you today.

The MOST important thing is that you’re ok. I’m so happy about that. The stuff they stole can be replaced. You can’t.
And you got the space in your recent happenings to give us a gift? That’s lovely of you. Wish I could listen to it but I don’t have any speakers. Ah well. Will have a listen when I do.
take care, you…

Thanks for all the well wishes, you guys! Another nice thing that came out of all this is that my finance taught me how to shoot a gun this weekend. It was fun and I did pretty darn well if I say so myself.
I taped my target practice paper to the front door. It’s badass.

Sorry about the break in. Glad you are ok & starting all over building a cool dome structure in the woods!
I dream of a self-sustaining structure in the mountains.
